Innocence Project

Ark Charity Review

Why Ark Institute selected this charity

We believe in the power of human potential. The biggest crime is seeing that potential robbed from people who have done nothing wrong but become casualties of an unjust legal system. We love Innocence Project because they work tirelessly to set human potential free: to see the release of men and women who have been convicted of crimes they didn’t commit. Like seeds in the ground, once they are properly planted outside of prison walls, these freed men and women can flourish and grow, changing their families and society for the better as they do.

How this charity aligns with our goals

We believe in justice and we believe in truth. Much as Reaper Financial seeks to offer a solution to those whom the legacy financial system has failed, Ark Institute is proud to support an organization offering help to those whom the legal system has failed.

What was the process of approving this charity

Innocence Project is dedicated to the people they serve for the long-term. It takes an average of 14 years to free a prisoner who has been wrongfully accused. This organization will remain committed to its mission for years to come.

Advocate for the Wrongfully Accused

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, the organization is now an independent nonprofit. More Ways To Help

Innocence Project has worked hard to raise funds, promoting grassroots fundraising events and often qualifies for an employer match at many corporations. They accept one-time or recurring donations via Card or eCheck, as well as stock shares or crypto assets. They have a Legacy Society, where donors could add Innocence Project as a benificiary on a person’s will, trust or estate plans.
